 INFORMATION

This is a Brand NEW Boat built by Hawthorn Maine and is their "Welland" range of wide beam cruiser.

Exterior

All steel construction with 10 mm base plate, 6mm hull sides and 4mm superstructure.Hull is coated in black bitumen to the rubbing strake with navy blue cabin sides and light battleship grey roof. Cabin sides are coach lines and sign written. All paint used is Rylards supplied by Mainline Merseyside. Windows are brass anodised aluminium alloy frames with concealed fittings supplied by Wesley Marine windows in the style of drop back vents allowing for good air flow during warm weather. Forward bow locker forms the water tank and front well deck affords access via a timber lined steel door to front cabin.

The roof is supported on 40mm x 40mm steel bows with integral steel handrails. 5 painted aluminium mushroom vents provide high level ventilation to living quarters.

Mechanical and Electrical

The engine is a Shire based upon a 2.19 lite 4 cylinder Yanmar Diesel Engine with a PRM 150 hydraulic gearbox supplied as a unit by E P Barrus Ltd.

A 55 Amp alternator supplies power to the 85 Amp start battery and a 110amp alternator powers the 3 x 100amp domestic batteries.

The instrument panel is standard with the engine unit and incorporates rev counterwith engine hours meter, key start/stop, battery charge lights, overheat and oil pressure warning lights. Engine cooling is by skin tank and via a caloifier circuit utilising waste heat to warm the domestic hot water system. The power transmittion to the shaft is via a centaflex coupling.

The stern greaser is located in an accessable position immdeiately beneath the engine hatch cover as are the 2 battery master switches. A 12 v Bilge pump is provided and weed hatch is secured by a quick release clamp.
